The Regulatory Affairs Advisor is ideal for those either at an early stage within their regulatory career in the cosmetic or food sectors or those with a formulation or NPD background within cosmetics / or consumer goods and a keen interest to move into regulatory affairs.
About the Role
Reporting to the Regulatory Affairs Director, you will assist in all aspects of the regulatory support the company provides to its customers as well as helping to expand the portfolio of services on offer.
As a bespoke consultancy, our services cover a wide range of areas. The Regulatory Affairs Advisor will be expected to work independently to manage projects from start to finish and be responsible for the day-to-day liaison and management of key customer accounts.
Working in the areas of cosmetics, food supplements and wellbeing (training will be provided in new areas as needed) the Regulatory Affairs Advisor will manage and work on a wide variety of projects, including new and ongoing product compliance, environmental and REACH compliance, development and implementation of operating procedures and strategies, compliance of brand materials (website, advertising etc) as well as provide internal and expert support and advice on an ad hoc basis, especially within our key focus areas of borderline and environmental claims.
Bloom Regulatory is recognised for its high-level expertise on claim substantiation, global compliance and pragmatic regulatory advice based on risk assessment. We are often committed to provide to in-depth regulatory reports/advice on novel and challenging topics. The Advisor will have the opportunity to gain a broad knowledge of the regulatory landscape and provide input to these projects.
Working as part of the Regulatory department, the Advisor will provide direction to the Regulatory Affairs Administrator in the areas of label review, formulation checking, Product Information File compilation and product notifications.
The Regulatory Affairs Advisor is integral in ensuring internal databases are maintained with up-to-date legislative information and is a key contributor to the company website as an author and researcher for regular blog articles.
About You
You’ll have:
Undergraduate Degree or higher (Degrees and courses associated with cosmetics or food will be welcomed)
Regulatory experience within a cosmetics company (desirable but not essential)
Top organisational skills, so you can keep projects on track in line with relevant deadlines and priorities
Attention to detail
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid risk assessment skills paired with flexible and creative thinking
The ability to interpret complex information into a simple message, with just the right amount of detail appropriate for stakeholder understanding
Strong communications skills (in at least English)
Ability to build and maintain stakeholder relationships

Willingness to share ideas and accept the views of others
Ability to work and collaborate on tasks as part of a team but also to work remotely and independently
